Khaliah Adams-Joseph

Khaliah Adams-Joseph works as Director of Diversity at Marymount School of New York, which is a N-12 school with an estimated 432 employees; and founded in 1926. Khaliah holds an administrative position and sits with the Core Team making important decisions regarding the Health and Wellness of over 700 hundred students.  Khaliah graduated from NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development with her Master of Counseling Psychology and her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University.  As an alum and parent of color from independent schools and with over 10 years of experience in both the private and public school systems, she understands the need to be the bridge for the promise that educational institutions give students of color but sometimes fall short.  With all of her DEI work across many institutions, member of organizations such as Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc., Jack and Jill of America Inc., and her personal relationships with parents, students, alum, faculty, and staff, she has her ear to the ground in knowing exactly how to provide the missing link to ensure success, confidence, and equity for marginalized groups in any educational setting.
